Maryland Twisters F5! They never cease to amaze us with their stunning looks and talent. And the current members of this all star cheerleading team now have the opportunity to show the world what they are made of, as they were recently invited to the Majors, the most selective all-star cheer competition in the world. With a gym of over 500 athletes, and over 5,000 Twitter followers, this select group of all star cheerleaders is oozing with support as they attempt to add one more medal to their collectio
n of four World Championship Golds and hundreds of national titles.
The Maryland Twisters cheer organization itself deserves much of the credit for the character and work ethic of these tumbling, stunting wonders. They train all of their cheerleaders and dancers in a way that inspires, "...lifelong lessons in friendship, teamwork, time management, and helping others." As part of this personal growth, "each Twister athlete is required to help raise scholarship money for our two Special Needs teams, The Eye of the Storm and Storm Chasers. The athletes also participate in our annual Toys for Tots Drive over the holidays. We hold our members to a high standard and are proud to say that they are not only hard working athletes, but also individuals deeply rooted in our community. We truly enjoy giving back and community service is an important piece of the Twisters philosophy."
