With the recent launch of our Under Armour Sideline Cheer line, we made it our mission to find experienced individuals with a passion for the sport of cheerleading. Jacque Lumsden was one of those who stood out with her experience, enthusiasm, and love of cheerleading. Jacque will be bringing Under Armour® Sideline Cheer apparel to the St. Louis, MO area high schools.
Jacque's passion for cheer began in the seventh grade and continued throughout high school. After high school, she attended the University of Kansas where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, with an emphasis in Strategic Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, with a thesis emphasis in the culture of advertising.
She took her communications skills to the hospitality industry where she worked as the Sales Manager for three boutique hotel properties in Lawrence, KS. In this role she was responsible for booking regional and national conferences and events. With the location of these hotels in the college town for the University of Kansas, she gained sales experience with collegiate athletics including all major Division I Athletics. This experience gives her the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences, and understand product promotions in sales.
After three years in this role, she went on to pursue her Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Kansas, specializing in Community Development and Transportation Planning. Jacque received her Master’s Degree in May 2014, and relocated to St. Louis where she combines her passion for planning with her experience in Sales as the Marketing Coordinator for a Transportation Engineering and Planning firm. Her skills include social media, advertising and sponsorships, branding efforts and proposal coordination.
