Spirit Elite Cheer from Saint Peters, MO absolutely loves their new cheerleading uniforms! This past April, the team decided on this creative new look for their Worlds team. They love it so much, the rest of the program is now going to wear the same outfit for their upcoming season! Their coaches added, "The uniforms are amazing.  They look great on all athletes and make the routines look clean.  It shows the Style and Excellence that SE represents. GK has done a great job at giving Spirit Elite a distinct look unlike any other program."
 

The girls chose a custom design two piece look to really stand out. This cheer leo is brilliantly designed in Black, Red, and White Nylon/Spandex with a mesh insert across front and side for a cutaway effect. The swirled "flame-like" pattern is accented in clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS to add a bit of glamour. A custom cheerleading skirt was made to match with a separate black boy cut brief. The boys selected a matching lightly jeweled cheer uniform including a top in White, Red, and Black Nylon Spandex with White Ponte pants to allow their unique design to really stand out.

Since its inception in 1987, the Arena Football League has showcased their fast-paced and exciting game to millions of fans in a myriad of markets across the country.  Top cheerleaders from around the country perform at all Arena Football League games, and one young lady was chosen from each AFL team to perform at ArenaBowl XXVI in Orlando, Florida.

We are so excited to be a part of the 2nd Annual Spring Tumbling Fashion Show to kick off the 4th Annual Spring Coaches Conference in Montreal, Quebec at the Delta Centre Ville.  At this event, coaches from across Canada will meet and be able to share experiences. We are creating our brand new GK Cheer catalog for 2014 and recently had a photo shoot here in our studio. All star cheerleaders dropped by to model some of the hottest looks in cheer apparel! Shown below on the left is a photo of Kirsty Hyser as she prepares for her photo session. She has modeled for us for several years and was thrilled to wear some cutting edge looks for this coming year. Tori Brungart from Maryland Twisters shown in the middle, relaxes for a bit as she gets her hair and makeup done for her photo shoot. Tony Ness featured on the right is from Cheer Tyme has been a loyal GK Cheer model the past few years as well.

Bama All Stars from Alabama Cheerleading Center are loving their custom designed cheer uniforms from GK. The team's owners Britten and Daniele Blackburn comment,  "This is our second year with GK & we just love the customer service & attention we get as a client. The comfort & fit of the uniform is unlike any other. Our athletes love wearing them. Last season we received more compliments about our uniforms than we've ever had in the 17 years of our all star program!" Gathering athletes from various events in one location, The Games allows these extreme events to empower each other. Five total events make up these All Star Games including team and solo events in Cheer, Stunt, Synchro, Tricking, and Tumbling.

Cheer Quest from Princeton, Texas recently posed for photos looking stunning in their new special order GK Cheer uniforms. Recently, in their new cheer apparel, the team won 1st place at their very first competition at the Spirit Celebrations State Fair competition. Warrior Elite Allstars from Maui, HI were proud to rock their custom GK Cheer Uniforms in their local County Fair Parade. "Thank you for our custom uniforms! MAUI LOVES THEM! They also won a grand champion award for scoring the highest point in the entire level 1 division, which included a $1000.00 cash prize.

Do you know how to keep your uniform looking brand new? All you need to do is follow the care instructions on the inside label of your uniform. GK uses high performance fabrics and embellishments that need to be handled with special care to keep them looking their best.

Did you know that fabric softener, dryer sheets and laundry detergent with softeners negatively affects the adhesives used to attach embellishments and could discolor the high performance fabric. Following the care instructions and avoiding fabric softening additives will ensure that your uniform will be looking sparkling and new throughout your competition season.

GK offers fabrics that are produced to meet our exclusive stretch and quality standards. GK takes tremendous pride in having the best fabrics in the industry. As a leader in performance apparel, it's important for us to advise you of the tendencies of certain fabrics, as well as practices to avoid.

Our fabrics can be grouped into two categories. Long wearing, durable fabrics include: Nylon/Spandex, Dry Tech, Tech Mesh, Superior Velvet, and Brushed Tricot. Fragile Fabrics need extra special care and include Hologram, Mesh, and Nylon/Spandex with Foil or Mystique. Note that certain high fashion fabrics are more susceptible to wear and fading than the traditional long wearing, durable fabrics. Hologram and Nylon/Spandex with Foil or Mystique fabrics will dull slightly in jeweled areas due to heat application.

We were so excited to catch up with Cheer Sport Sharks in Toronto, CA recently in their gym. Our Executive Vice President of Design and Corporate Relations, Kelly McKeown spent some quality time with the team and got to watch a practice session during her visit. The team has been a long term GK Cheer customer and has loved the quality and fit of our cheer apparel for years.

In the photo to the left is Kelly with Cheer Sport owners, Alana, on the left and Ali on the right taking a break from practice in the Sharks gym. Alana Potter aka "Lan" has been part of the Sharks since they began when there were 30 kids on 2 teams. Alana remembers her proudest team moment, “Taking the time to look around to see what we've created, a family full of love and pride. Being able to watch my dreams come true everyday is something I will never take for granted!” Since 2003, Ali Moffatt has been a part of the Sharks dream. She recalls her proudest moment, “I am most proud of everything that this small dream has become, a second home for hundreds of young girls to learn, grow, work together and develop friendships that will last a lifetime.  That is the legacy of the Cheer Sport Sharks, and I am fortunate to be able to re‑live that proudest moment every day of my life.”

The Sharks team has 3 gyms in Canada, this one being the largest. Three of their teams attend the Worlds competition and are well respected in Canada and throughout the world for their talent and athleticism.

We were so excited to design a custom cheerleading uniform for Cheer Sport. They chose a beautiful asymmetrical, strappy cheer crop top elaborately created in our Black DryTech, Rainforest and Silver Mystique fabrics. Their "Sharks" team name was added to the chest in Rainforest Mystique embroidery, and neatly outlined with Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS and additional scattered crystals. A swirling, looping design  twirls down the sleeves with highlighted jewels. The team added their maple leaf logo in these jewels to the back of the garment for an added touch of personality. A custom cheer skirt was designed to match in the same fabrics with a more simple side swirl pattern and Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS accent for a touch of shine.

GK Cheer. Make A Statement.

Cheer Fire out of Salina, KS is absolutely in love with their new GK Cheer uniforms! They wanted to express their team spirit and had a very specific budget in mind. After working with their local GK cheer representative, they decided on a special order style for both male and female athletes. Cheer Fire is excited to begin their second season. They feel like they are ready to show off what they have learned from their first year. In order for them to do that, they needed a new, tougher look with sparkle and sass. Cheer Fire recently wrote a thank you to us about their great experience with GK, their amazing cheer representative, Jaime Verble and couldn't thank us enough for bringing their vision to life. Owner and Coach Bridgette says "We look like we feel! Ready to compete and take names!"  Coach Zo adds "We look tough and ready to rock. Thank you again and we are looking to many more seasons with GK Elite!"

The girls chose our Wide Strap Off the Shoulder Uni Top U166L a simple yet trendy off the shoulder asymmetric strap full length cheerleading uniform top with solid sleeves in Black Dry Tech. Their top features Electric Turquoise Mystique, and Orange Nylon/Spandex accents along neckline. For some added shimmer, we added their unique flame design on the top's sleeves and "Fire" logo across bodice in Turquoise Hologram and Silver Sequinz. Our Regular Rise Cheer Skirt CB701 was selected in Black Dry Tech for their cheer skirt and added Turquoise Hologram and Silver Sequin flames to bottom left of garment to coordinate with their cheer top. The Men's Crew Neck Cheer Top UM105 was the perfect choice to match the girl athletes. Made in our Black Dry Tech fabric, their top neckline was accented with Orange Nylon/Spandex and Electric Turquoise Mystique with team name across chest. They chose our Men's Basic Black Ponte Pant CB900 to complete the look.
