Not to be outdone in The Maryland Twister's new cheer uniform parade, team Eclipse and the Level 4 Program got in on the new uniform action this year too.  Both of these cheer uniforms follow the gym's well-known color scheme of Black DryTech, Ocean Mystique, White Mystique, and Electric Turquoise Mystique fabrics. but in two more completely unique ways.

Team Eclipse's custom crop top is similar to GK's Intertwined Sleeve Cheer Crop Top U156, with a variation on the neck and back straps of Ocean Mystique and a Black DryTech horizontal strap.  Twisters is spelled out on the front in Ocean Mystique applique and covered in brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Eclipse is written in script on the lower back of the cheerleading top in the same SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Their low rise cheer skirt is a custom creation based on GK's Low Rise Asymmetrical Swirl Skirt U703L, with coordinating swirls of the same fabrics.  The swirls and styles lines of both the cheerleading top and skirt are highlighted with Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. 

The Maryland Twisters Level 4 Program Cheerleading Uniform is another custom creation.  The cheer top is similar to GK's Layered Swirl Sleeve Cheer Crop Top U157, with a modified shoulder strap and style line.  Twisters is spelled out in script on the front of the cheer top in White Mystique outlined with Ocean Mystique and covered in Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  The trademark MD Twisters cyclone on the back of the cheer top is created with royal and white SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Their cheer skirt, similar to GK's Low Rise Basic Cheerleading Skirt U701L, is embellished to coordinate perfectly with the cheer top.  For the perfect finishing touch, brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS are scattered along both sleeves and the within the skirt embellishment.

ICE All Star Cheerleading has a well known reputation in the sport of competitive cheerleading, having some of the best cheerleading teams in the nation.  Black Ice, their Senior 5 team out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana is one of them.  Black Ice recently debuted new GK cheer uniforms at the WSF Cheer Indy Showdown on December 8-9, 2012.

The Black Ice cheer top is GK's special order Layered Swirl Sleeve Cheer Crop Top U157 in Navy DryTech, Gold Mystique, and White Mystique. Iberia Elite is set to rock its inaugural all star cheerleading competition season with a brand new, completely custom, GK cheerleading uniform.  Owners, Chance Broughton and Andrew Sellers, shared their motto for their premier season with us, "Birds of a feather flock together. Teal and Yellow. Elite Forever!"  GK Cheer is excited to be part of Iberia Elite's new venture.

Iberia Elite's custom cheer crop top began with a foundation of Black Nylon/Spandex.  Their teal and yellow colors were then added to the neckline, straps, back insert, and upper sleeves with Sea Glass Sparkle and Gold Nylon/Spandex.  Their custom cheerleading short was created with identical fabrics, Black Nylon/Spandex, Sea Glass Sparkle, and Gold Nylon/Spandex. Iberia Elite worked with their GK Territory Area Manager to create the custom hip design on the shorts.  To make the uniform completely their own, a long feather created with Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS was added to the lower sleeves of the cheerleading top.  The Iberia Elite logo on the front chest was created with a White Nylon/Spandex background and Citrine and Jade SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS used for the "I" & "E" design.  The Men's Cheerleading Uniform for Iberia Elite was also a custom design using identical fabrics and embellishments on the front chest and sleeves for a unified, total team look.

GK Cheer.  Make a Statement.

Woodward Cheer makes a statement in their amazingly unique GK cheer uniforms.  Woodward's cheerleading top is actually a custom leotard created with Yellow, Black, and Charcoal Mystique fabrics.  The cheer leotard features an asymmetrical neckline, side cut-out, and one attached sleeve.  The other arm features a gauntlet of the same fabrics.  Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS are scattered over the front and back of the uniform and down the outside arm of the gauntlet.  Woodward is spelled out on the front of the uniform in Citrine SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Woodward's cheer shorts are a custom design using the same fabrics and feature a faux belt with a black sequinz "W" as the buckle.  Finishing of their sassy look are two faux pockets on the back of their shorts created with Brilliance SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  The Woodward cheerleading uniform has it all and it works perfectly.

Midwest Storm Cheer in Saint Joseph, Missouri, is a new customer of GK this season.  Founded in September of 2008, MSC has learned a lot in their first couple of years of all star cheerleading.  Tara Embrey, Owner of MSC, tells the story of how they began. 

"We had very limited resources, so we literally began as infants in the crazy world of all-star cheer.  The sport was barely known in our area, so the overall expense was overwhelming to the majority of our new parents.  We started practicing in an elementary school gym with approximately 6, 4x6 roll up mats. Our first competition was the first time most of our athletes had ever stepped foot on a spring floor.  By our 2nd season we were able to move into a 40x40 barn that had no air conditioning and no indoor plumbing for the first several months. We used a port-a-potty in the dead of winter just so we could practice in a large enough space with high ceilings!"

For the first two years, MSC's cheer uniforms were the "definition of old school" that they tried to make into the "sassiest uniforms in the cutest way they could," says Tara.  "I felt like the new kid trying to fit in at school.  Image was a big deal!  Because my gym is rooted in Christian morals, our beliefs are an important consideration when choosing uniforms.  I want our cheerleaders to feel awesome and confident when they hit the floor, but I don't want to compromise our ideals.  Staying true to ourselves & staying affordable for parents is a challenge." 

This year, when Tara began her search for new uniforms, she drew on her competitive gymnastics background.  She had always been aware of the amazing, consistent quality of GK gymnastics products, but wasn't sure if her gym could afford GK cheer apparel.  Working with her GK Cheer Territory Area Manager, Kristin Libby, Tara quickly learned that GK could meet every one of her important needs making it a perfect fit for her gym.

The Illinois Cheer Gym in Algonquin, Illinois is home to the Legendary Premier All-Star Cheerleaders.  Legendary Premier is where "stars become legendary," so a custom GK cheer uniform was definitely in order for these athletes.

Legacy's custom cheer crop top, similar to GK's Layered Swirl Sleeve Cheer Crop Top U157, features an asymmetrical neckline and binding straps that Legacy modified for a strappy look all their own.  The left sleeve features swirls of Ocean Fusion and multiple stars created with clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  The right sleeve is Black DryTech with scattered clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. The fabrics used for the top are Lime and Ocean Mystique, Black DryTech, Ocean Fusion, and White Sparkle.  The 2-layer Black Fusion & White Sparkle Legacy logo on the front chest is a custom font applique.  The Cheer Legacy logo on the back of the cheer top is created with Ocean Fusion, White Sparkle, and Lime Mystique fabrics and surrounded by clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.

Legacy's cheerleading skirt is GK's special order Low Rise Asymmetrical Swirl Cheer Skirt U703Lin Black DryTech which echoes the asymmetrical design on the top and forms a double V on left hip of Lime & Ocean Mystique.  The style line is lit up with more clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.

The All Stars from 5 Star Cheer in Springfield, Illinois have been racking up the compliments since the premiere of their new GK special order cheer uniforms.  John Runge, Owner & Head Coach, said, "Our uniforms are unique in design, color, and durability.  Just wrapped up at super nationals and everyone who was anyone complemented our look!!! The 5 Star cheer top is GK's Funky Back Cheer Crop Top U133, a scoop neck cheerleading uniform crop top with long sleeves and open back wrapping cut out detail.  Their cheer shorts are Low Rise Sharp Accent Short U519L, a cheerleading short with sharp panel detailing on both sides featuring points that extend toward the back waistband creating a great front to back look.  5 Star used Lime, Imperial Purple, and White Mystique fabrics.  Clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS highlight select style lines and were also used to create their custom logo on the front chest.  5 Star took full advantage of GK's ability to create a cheer uniform for their own custom look.

Toronto High School's new GK Cheer Uniform debuted to rave reviews!  A custom designed cheer leotard offering style, sparkle, & security paired with a special order cheer skirt proved to be the perfect combination for the Red Knights.

Joey Takacs, Toronto High School Cheerleading Coach said, "Our beautiful new GK Cheer uniforms were the talk of our latest competition! Toronto's cheerleading uniform is made with bold Red Mystique accented with Silver and White Mystique.  Their cheer leotard is a custom creation with a completely unique neckline, one shoulder cut-out, and waves of white and silver appliques.  Their skirt is GK's Low Rise Swirl Skirt U703L, featuring an asymmetrical design that forms a double V on left hip. To add some bling, Toronto is spelled out on the front chest and Knights on the back of the cheer top in Silver Hologram Sequinz with matching Silver Hologram Sequinz stars. The finishing touch is a Silver Hologram Sequinz "T" added to the right front bottom of the cheer skirt.  No wonder they got so many compliments!

The All Stars from Nash Jem Elite in Kansas City, Missouri are rocking a brand new, custom GK cheer uniform this season.  Nash Jam Elite has been competing in all star cheerleading since October of 2000 and their motto continues to be, "The Best Getting Better."  The best don't settle for just any cheer uniform, they demand THE BEST CHEER UNIFORM! 

Nash Jem created their very own, custom GK cheer uniform.  Their cheer crop top features a unique neck strap combination and awesome applique details.  Similar to GK's Side Panel Halter Cheer Crop Top U118, Nash Jem's cheer crop top is made of mostly Red Mystique, with Black Nylon/Spandex, and Silver Mystique appliques.  Their coordinating cheer shorts, made of the same fabrics, are similar to GK's Right Hip Swirl Cheer Shorts U523L.  Lighting up select style lines and applique areas on both the cheer top and bottom are clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  Their team name is spelled out with more clear SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.
